Causes and Solutions of High Exhaust Temperature of Oil-injected Water-cooled Screw Air Compressor

In the petrochemical industry, the oil-injected screw air compressor has been widely used because of its reliable operation, high efficiency, long life, gas volume is not affected by exhaust pressure, stable operation without surge and other advantages. Especially in the public system as a kind of advanced aerodynamic equipment, widely used in air compression station for the device to provide instrument air. Therefore, the safe operation of the air compressor unit ensures the stability of the instrument wind and the safe operation of the device. In the daily operation of the oil injection screw air compressor, due to inadequate maintenance, the unit often has high exhaust temperature alarm and unit chain shutdown failure. Therefore, the screw is empty.

Therefore, it is very important to analyze the failure of high exhaust temperature alarm and chain shutdown of screw air compressor, and put forward effective treatment methods to ensure the normal and smooth operation of screw air compressor.
(1) Description of events
On May 15, 2016, the J-6001A of the air compressor unit under production and operation suddenly stopped in a chain manner. It was found that the PLC display screen showed an alarm of high exhaust temperature, high pressure difference of oil and gas separator, and high pressure difference of oil filter. In order to ensure the safe operation of the unit production, the standby unit is replaced for J-6001B, and the faulty unit is J-6001A shut down for maintenance.
(2) Brief introduction of maintenance
At 8:30 on May 16, 2016, the faulty unit was J-6001A overhauled. For the unit's high exhaust temperature alarm, high pressure difference alarm of oil and gas separator and high pressure difference alarm of oil filter, the main overhaul content was to overhaul and maintain the unit's oil circuit system and circulating water cooling system. Judging from the maintenance situation, there are mainly the following problems:
1) Fouling and blockage of filter element of oil and gas separator;
2) The oil filter is blocked;
3) The oil cut-off valve fails and the valve core is stuck;
4) Temperature control valve fault stuck;
5) The oil cooler is seriously fouled and blocked.
